Love Athens? Santa Barbara awaits. Santa Barbara has much in common with the Greek capital of Athens far beyond its sunny climate and coastal setting along the Pacific Ocean, which provides breathtaking views much like Athens’ proximity to the Aegean Sea. For another alternate option on the East Coast of the U.S., try Tarpon Springs, Florida – located just 18 miles from the Tampa Airport.
